Position Overview: As a hands-on Cloud Security Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for all security escalations and incidents, leading a team of engineers to safeguard the HRSoft SaaS platform. You will collaborate with customer, partner, and prospect security officers, as well as auditors, to address questions regarding HRSoft's security posture. In this role, you will own and execute the security roadmap, proactively adapting to emerging threats,technologies, and regulatory requirements to pre-empt and mitigate potential attacks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all security escalations and incidents
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and auditors on all security posture inquiries, lead internal and external audits to ensure continuous compliance, and maintain a hands-on role in architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
- Manage security compliance and readiness by reviewing and refining all security-related RFP responses and questionnaires during sales cycles, enforcing security protocols across the organization, and developing ongoing security review plans for cloud environments.
- Proactively identify emerging threats and drive initiatives to maintain a robust security posture, oversee investigations into potential security breaches and manage incident response.
- Deliver periodic reports and presentations to the CTO and VP of Cloud Engineering
- Develop business cases and proposals for cybersecurity investments, after routinely analysing the organization’s security posture to propose and implement solutions based on current and upcoming cloud technologies.
- Manage and utilize 3rd-party vulnerability tools for continuous application and infrastructure assessments
- Conduct mock intrusion scenarios and document remediation/response plans
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of SaaS security experience
- Detail-oriented, thoughtful, respectful – a team player
- Hands-on expertise in configuring/managing security tools, penetration testing, and leading incident response
- Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver.
- Strong experience with security architectures, network design
- Extensive knowledge of security technologies and processes, and frameworks (e.g., SOC2)
- Strong communication skills. Able to clearly argue positions, communicate design decisions.
- Experience leading a cybersecurity team preferred
- Prior experience with Zscaler, Crowdstrike, Google Workspace, AWS is a plus.
